1:35 Transpallet is a small resin set from the Italian brand Royal Model with a low-lift hand truck and pallets. It brings an everyday working detail into a scene, from which the viewer immediately judges the size of the surrounding machines.
The forks run in under a pallet, a hydraulic pump operated by a lever in the handle lifts the load a few centimeters above the floor and the operator pushes it wherever it is needed. It is precisely that simple principle that made the pallet a universal transport unit, with which goods are moved in army depots, repair halls, port terminals and the back areas of airports. In a scene it suits anywhere something is being unloaded, moved or made ready for transport, and it fills an empty space more interestingly than another crate.
Cut the casting remnants off with a fine-toothed saw and level the surface by wet sanding, so that no dust is raised. The metal of the truck looks best if paint is applied over a dark base and the edges are then lightened with a metallic pigment. The wood of the pallets stands out with a thin glaze over a light gray base and a gentle rubbing through on the edges. Finally add oil stains and dust according to the setting the truck stands in.
The set has no surface finish, and the material for finishing is not enclosed.
