This resin set from the maker Voyager Model is not a kit of the vehicle but a detail accessory: it replaces the wheels of the German Kübelwagen Type 82 light off-road car with wide balloon tires for desert service. Pattern 1 denotes a particular type of tread. The set is intended for Kübelwagen models in 1:35 scale.
The Kübelwagen Type 82 was the basic light off-road car of the Wehrmacht, derived from the design of the people's car. For service in North Africa wider balloon tires were used, which improved progress through sand; they appeared in smooth as well as grooved form.
Separate the wheels from the casting blocks and the print supports, wash them free of mold release agent residue and attach them with superglue. Spray the tires with a matte dark color, the hubs in the shade of the vehicle, and add a dust and sand wash for the African setting.
The set holds resin wheels only; the model of the vehicle itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
