The brass photo-etched set 1:35 Zimmerit Panther A Early Type clothes the armor of the early production version of the Panther Ausf. A in the regular texture of the anti-magnetic coating.
Responsibility details are not available.
Photo-etched brass sheet carries the relief of the coating in the form in which vehicles rolled out of the factory: continuous, with a regular ridged pattern and without scrapes. The set is cut to 1:35 scale and turns the smooth sides, hull and turret into a surface that cannot be imitated with a plastic texture.
The anti-magnetic coating was applied to German vehicles from roughly the end of 1943 to the fall of 1944. A layer of binder and filler was to make it impossible to attach magnetic mines, which the Wehrmacht itself used and which it feared the enemy would use against it as well. The coating was spread with a trowel and a pattern was pressed into the soft surface, with every factory having a hand of its own, so the origin of a particular machine can often be determined from the marking.
The surface underneath has to be perfectly level, otherwise the sheet will stand away. Offer the segments up dry and only after the trial fix them with cyanoacrylate glue applied in drops. Make the bends over a metal edge, not with your fingers. Before painting comes the turn of a primer, which the coat holds on and which unifies the metal with the plastic.
The kit of the tank is not part of the delivery; this is an extension of a model already bought.
