A detailed plastic kit of the American littoral combat ship USS Fort Worth (LCS-3) in 1:350 scale from Trumpeter. The kit holds a well-worked hull and superstructures, photo-etched parts and clear parts for the shipboard helicopters. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
USS Fort Worth is an American Littoral Combat Ship of the Freedom class. This fast vessel with a semi-planing hull is built for service in coastal waters and can be configured for anti-submarine, anti-ship, mine countermeasures and humanitarian tasks. At the stern it carries a landing deck and a hangar for helicopters.
We suggest building in subassemblies and gluing the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate. The hull can be built as full hull or to the waterline. Apply primer before painting, spray the basic gray shades with an airbrush and set the deck apart with a darker color. A light wash and drybrushing will bring out the railings and the details of the superstructures; the small helicopters can be finished with a brush.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
