An add-on set in 1:48 scale with British four-gallon fuel containers. Intended for completing vehicle models and bringing dioramas to life.
Responsibility details are not available.
British units carried fuel among other things in sheet metal containers of four gallons, which by the British gallon measure works out at about eighteen liters. The cans rode on the beds of trucks, were stacked in field depots and topped up fuel where a tanker could not reach. In a scene they therefore look natural in heaps beside vehicles, at supply points and singly, dropped in the rear areas.
An add-on set for models in 1:48 scale. It serves to complete a vehicle kit or to fill out a diorama; you cannot build a standalone model from it. The number of pieces in the package and any further parts are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Choose the glue according to the material of the parts: ordinary cement for plastic models holds only on polystyrene, and for other materials use super glue. Cut the surplus material and the production marks off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest down. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint will take badly. Conviction comes only from the difference between individual pieces: lay the base shade on evenly, but treat the chipped spots, the rust at the seams and the dusting differently on every container. A dark wash settles a shadow into the pressings, and a dry brush brings out the edges.
Paints, glue and modeling tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
