About product

Steel seat belts for the F-16I Sufa in 1:48 scale

A photo-etched Eduard set containing color-printed seat belts made of steel. A steel etch holds its shape and drapes naturally better than softer materials, so the belts look convincingly laid over the seat. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory for the cockpit interior.

The real subject

The F-16I Sufa is the two-seat Israeli version of the F-16 derived from Block 52+. Fitting the ejection seat with its harness is among the most noticeable details of an open cockpit.

Use

  • Separate the belts from the fret with a sharp knife.
  • Shape them over the seat so that they drape naturally.
  • Glue them with a small amount of super glue (cyanoacrylate).
  • The color print no longer needs painting over; at most bring out the buckles.

Who the set is for

For modelers who want to equip the seat of a fighter quickly and faithfully with realistic belts. Working with a fine etch calls for experience.

The accessory is supplied unassembled; the model, paints and glue are not included in the package.

FAQ

No, they are already printed in color. At most you can bring out the buckles.

A steel etch holds its shape and drapes over the seat more naturally than softer materials, so it reads more realistically.
