This is an aftermarket set of pre-colored interior printed with 3D technology on a carrier decal paper. The set from Quinta Studio is intended for plastic models of the early F4U-1 Corsair with the framed Birdcage canopy in 1:48 scale and replaces or complements the cockpit interior with no need for laborious photo-etch and painting.

What the set contains

The instrument panel, the side consoles, the seat with its details, the levers and the switches are printed with a raised structure and finished in color in advance, including the fine labels and dial faces. The elements have no adhesive layer of their own; they hold on a gloss varnish laid onto the plastic beforehand.

Use

• Coat the cockpit surfaces with a gloss varnish (Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22) and let them dry.
• Cut the part from the sheet, soak it in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slide it off the paper into place.
• On a broken-up surface a drop of super glue helps; do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, as their chemistry attacks the printed resin.
