Resin afterburner and exhaust set for the Fairey Delta 2 in 1:48 scale from the manufacturer Clear Prop Models. A detailed replacement for the rear end of the powerplant.
Responsibility details are not available.
A cast resin set capturing the afterburner nozzle and the exhaust duct of a model of the British Fairey Delta 2 aircraft. Resin allows fine rendering of the vanes, the duct walls and the combustion chamber, which give the rear end of a model depth and a realistic look. This is an accessory for models of this type, not a kit.
The Fairey Delta 2 was a British experimental delta-wing aircraft which in 1956 became the first to exceed a speed of 1000 miles per hour. To reach supersonic speed it used a turbojet with an afterburner.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The inside of the nozzle and the exhaust come into their own once painted in metallic shades with suitable highlighting and a brownish tint from the heat.
The paints, glue and model are not included in the package.
