It is a color three-dimensional interior printed on a decal paper. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory that replaces the flat or simplified cockpit elements from the base kit. It is the smaller (simplified) version of the set, centered on the key elements of both cockpits and complemented by several 3D-printed resin parts for more three-dimensional detail.
The RF-4C Phantom II was an unarmed tactical reconnaissance aircraft derived from the F-4 Phantom II fighter and operated by the US Air Force. It carried photographic and imaging equipment in a lengthened nose and was a two-seater. This form matches the later shape of the cockpit without the DMAS system.
The parts are cut out, soaked for about 15 seconds in lukewarm water and slid off the backing paper into place in the cockpit. They have no adhesive layer of their own and hold on a gloss varnish (Future/Klear, Tamiya X-22), which is why a matte surface is a mistake. Do not use a decal softener, as its chemistry attacks the printed resin and destroys the part; on broken surfaces a drop of super glue and patient work with tweezers help. Painting the instruments is usually not needed, because the panel is already realistically printed.
This is an add-on decal set, not a standalone model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
