This 3D-printed resin set contains a pair (2 pieces) of Storm Shadow air-launched guided missiles, designated SCALP EG in French service. It is not a model but a faithful armament accessory in 1:48 scale. The missile is carried by modern combat aircraft including the Su-24, Tornado, Eurofighter Typhoon, Mirage 2000, Rafale and Nimrod.
The Storm Shadow / SCALP EG is a British-French cruise missile intended to destroy heavily protected ground targets from a long distance. It flies low over the terrain, uses combined navigation and carries a penetrating warhead. It is among the best-known weapons of its kind in the current inventory of several European air forces.
Wash the print resin residue off the resin parts, cut away the print supports and sand the cuts with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Take care over symmetry between the two pieces; the smooth body of the missile stands out after a flat shade is sprayed on and light weathering added.
This is an add-on armament set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
