This resin 3D printed set from Quinta Studio replaces the exhaust nozzles of both engines of the Su-30SM with parts rendered in the position matching running engines without afterburner. Compared with the afterburner version, the nozzle petals are closed down to a narrower diameter. The nozzles have fine detail of the adjusting petals inside as well as outside and markedly improve the look of the rear end of the model. The set is for 1:48 scale.
The Su-30SM is powered by two jet engines with thrust vectoring. In the setting without afterburner the nozzles have a narrower position of the petals, which this set captures faithfully in model form - suitable for an aircraft shown with the engines running on the ground.
Wash the parts free of print resin residue and separate the casting blocks carefully. They are glued with cyanoacrylate. It pays to darken the inside of the nozzles and bring it out with metallic shades and light weathering for the effect of a heat-stressed surface.
This is an accessory for a model, not a stand-alone kit. The basic aircraft model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
