A stock sheet of yellow serial numbers and code letters for American aircraft in 1:48 scale, in a range of sizes from small data blocks to large markings.
Responsibility details are not available.
The serial number on the rudder and the code letters on the fuselage are among the details that either carry the build of an American aircraft through to perfection or give away that corners were cut. Yet a kit usually offers only the one combination that its instructions cover. A stock sheet of individual characters therefore opens the way to any machine for which you have a photograph or a record in the literature.
This version is yellow and suits everywhere black would disappear into a dark finish while white would look too loud. The characters are available in nine heights from 6 to 36 inches, so from a single sheet you can cover small data blocks by a door as well as large markings on the underside of a wing. The brand also offers a white and a black equivalent in the same range of sizes.
Cut out the individual characters as closely as you can, so that neighboring films do not overlap and create a visible step. First lay the whole group out dry on paper, and only then transfer it one piece at a time, checking the spacing against a photograph as you go. Finally, cover the whole marking with a coat that hides the edges of the film. The delivery holds only the printed characters.
