The detail set brings a 150 gallon AERO 1C (FPU-3/A) external auxiliary fuel tank, widely used on US Navy (USN) and Marine Corps (USMC) aircraft. The resin (3D-printed) tank has a faithful shape, seams and attachment fittings and will complete the external stores of a plastic model. It is not an aircraft kit but a refining part.
The standardized AERO 1C tanks were widespread equipment on many carrier aircraft and extended their range. A faithful tank shape and surface raise the realism of the external stores.
Wash the print resin residue off the part, cut off the print supports and sand the surface with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Check the fit on the pylon of the model before painting.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
