A set of color self-adhesive 3D decals concentrating on the front cockpit of a model of the Avro Vulcan B.2 strategic bomber in 1:72 scale. The decals are printed on a flexible film with real depth. The set concentrates on the pilots' station, that is the instrument panels, the side panels and the consoles. The color printing replaces painting a great number of small dials. The manufacturer cut the sheet for the Airfix kit.
The Avro Vulcan was a British strategic bomber with a striking delta wing, one of the carriers of the British nuclear deterrent in the Cold War. The B.2 version had a larger, reworked wing and more powerful engines; among other things the type made its name through exceptionally long combat raids during the Falklands conflict.
First degrease the surface. Cut the individual elements out, lift them off the backing layer and move them into place with tweezers, then press them down. In a small scale and in a broken-up cockpit, work patiently and with good lighting. The fine dials do not have to be touched in with paint.
The set holds the interior decals of the front cockpit only. The model itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
