Hasegawa 1:72 F-14B Tomcat VF-103 Jolly Rogers with high-detail nozzle parts is an injection-molded plastic kit of the American carrier fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Japanese maker Hasegawa. This edition is completed by high-detail engine exhaust nozzle parts, which refine the tail end of the airframe. The package holds injection-molded parts and decals for the well-known markings of the VF-103 Jolly Rogers squadron with its bold skull and crossbones. The model captures the characteristic variable-geometry wing typical of the Tomcat.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was an American supersonic carrier fighter with a variable-sweep wing, flown by the US Navy. The F-14B version received more powerful General Electric F110 engines than the original variant. The VF-103 Jolly Rogers squadron is one of the best known units to carry the traditional black and yellow markings with a skull. The Tomcat became famous in the role of a long-range interceptor armed with long-range missiles.
Cut the parts off cleanly and bond them with modeling cement for plastic. Paint the cockpit and the wheel bays before closing the airframe up. Treat the body with filler primer, paint it with an airbrush and lay the decals onto a gloss ground between coats of clear. Bring out the panel lines with a thin wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
