A set of color interior 3D decals from the maker Quinta Studio for detailing the cockpit of the F-14D Tomcat carrier fighter in 1:72 scale. The set is developed for the plastic kit from the Great Wall Hobby brand. It is neither a kit nor a model: it replaces bare plastic interior parts with a richly broken-down, raised and pre-colored surface.
A 3D decal is a relief color decal: the instrument panels of both cockpits, the side panels, the seats and other elements are raised and come colored from the factory. They are applied the wet way like a decal, but their thickness makes them behave more like pre-colored photo-etched parts. The dials have clear glossy glazing, thanks to which they look realistic even at a small scale.
