A decal sheet for a model of the American F-4E fighter in 1:72 scale. It is not a model but an accessory. The decals serve to mark a finished kit and will replace the sheet that came with it, or add further options to it. A separate sheet also comes in handy when you are building several machines of the same type and want them to differ from each other.
The F-4E was the most widespread version of the Phantom, the heavy twin-engine fighter with a crew of two. It differed from the earlier versions in the built-in gun in the nose and in a number of other changes. It served with the US Air Force and with many foreign operators, so the finishes and markings range from natural metal through Vietnam schemes to the late gray paints.
Settle the decals on a glossy and smooth surface; on a flat one whitish edges will appear. Cut the sheet as close to the motif as possible. Dip the decal in water for only a few seconds and let it rest on the paper until it can be moved. Use a decal softener on engraved lines and curved areas and let the decal settle; do not press it down. Once dry, seal the whole thing with a matte or semi-gloss varnish, which makes the edges disappear.
The set contains decals only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
