Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale from HäT. The box holds twelve riders in four poses and twelve horses in two poses, together with their armament and accessories. The figures are unpainted and the riders have to be seated in the saddle. The set adds a mounted element of the imperial era to the legionary and auxiliary foot units from the same maker.
The Praetorian Guard was an elite formation serving in Rome and around the emperor. Its mounted element escorted the ruler on his travels and in the field, filling a security and a ceremonial role at once. Their equipment tended to be costlier than that of the regular units, and the guard kept its special standing until the early fourth century, when Constantine disbanded it after the battle of the Milvian Bridge.
Wash the plastic, dry it and spray it with a flexible primer. Praetorians will take a richer treatment than regular units: gilded fittings and deeply colored cloaks are in place. Handle mail or scale armor with a dark base and a dry brush. Seat the rider in the saddle only once the horse is painted. Keep the shields for a carefully painted uniform device.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
