Responsibility details are not available.
A set of unpainted command figures of the Spanish army from the Napoleonic Wars in 1:72 scale. It rounds out the rank-and-file infantry sets of the same line with officers, standard bearers, drummers and senior commanders, that is the figures missing from the ordinary sets. The figures are in soft plastic, on which ordinary cement for polystyrene will not hold and neither will paint without preparation.
The Spanish army entered the Peninsular War poorly trained and poorly armed and lost repeatedly in open battle against the French. It played its part in a different way, though: it tied French forces down and, together with the guerrilla resistance, kept Napoleon from taking control of the country. The command figures were set apart from the rank and file by a richer uniform, a sash and a saber.
Wash the figures first in lukewarm soapy water and let them dry completely. Then apply a primer intended for soft plastics. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Give the command figures more work than the rank and file: they are at the front, and it is good to grade their shadows and to finish the sashes and the braid.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
