A figure set for modelers building the North American Rockwell OV-10D+ Bronco observation aircraft in 1:72 scale. The name gives two standing figures and distinguishes them as type 1, the first of the two poses offered. The figures suit a model on a display stand as well as a larger airfield scene that would otherwise lack a human element.
The Bronco was created as a counter-insurgency and forward air control machine able to work from a short, unpaved strip. The OV-10D+ is a late upgrade with equipment for night observation and it served with the US Marine Corps. The two-man crew sat in tandem behind extensive glazing that gave a view in practically every direction.
In 1:72 scale the layout of the color areas decides the result more than the detail does. Pick one dominant tone for the flight suit and two supporting ones to go with it, one for the harness and one for the helmet. Bring out the transitions between them with a fine dark outline. A glossy drop is enough to suggest the helmet visor; there is no need to pick it out further.
It is sold as a figure set without paints, without glue and without the aircraft model.
