A set of unpainted figures of Prussian infantry of the Napoleonic period in 1:72 scale. According to the manufacturer it contains forty figures in six poses. All of them are in a marching stance, so they suit a column on the road, a deployment into the battle line and filling out the second rank, where individual action poses would look distracting.
After the defeat at Jena and Auerstedt the Prussian army went through a deep reform and from 1813 to 1815 it took the field as a modern force with uniform training. The infantry wore a dark blue coat, gray trousers and a shako with white crossbelts over the chest. It was in exactly this form that the Prussian regiments appeared at Leipzig and at Waterloo.
The figures are made of soft plastic, on which an ordinary primer holds badly. Wash them first in warm water with detergent, let them dry completely and use a flexible primer or acrylic paint laid on in thin coats. Bent bayonets and arms can be straightened by a brief dip in hot water and by fixing them in cold. A matte varnish at the end is recommended, as it greatly reduces small chips from handling.
The figures are supplied unpainted and may need a little assembly. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
