HäT 1:72 Seven Years War Austrians Command is a set of thirty-six command figures with four riders and horses.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale from the brand HäT. The package contains thirty-six figures in six poses, one of which is a mounted officer repeated four times in the set. Four horses in a single pose go with the riders. The command group completes the marching and the combat sets of Austrian infantry in the same line. The plastic is unpainted.
The command group of a battalion of the Seven Years' War included officers, standard bearers, drummers and sergeants with halberds. In a closed line the colors were a point of reference, and losing them was a serious blow to a unit. A mounted officer could see over the heads of the formation and pass orders quickly, which counted for a great deal in the noise of firing and the smoke.
Wash the figures, dry them and spray them with a flexible primer. The command deserves more careful painting than the rank and file: the lace, the sash and a worked-out face make them the focus of the formation. We recommend replacing the colors with a thin foil and painting the pattern onto it. Seat the rider in the saddle only after the horse has been painted.
The figures are supplied unpainted and unassembled. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
