HäT 8265 American tank riders is a 1:72 set with forty-four figures in eleven poses for riding on a vehicle.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale with forty-four figures of American infantry of the Second World War in eleven poses. The figures are shaped so that they can be seated on the hull and the fenders of a vehicle. On each of four identical sprues there are nine soldiers and two crew figures, so along with the riders you also get people for the hatches. Among the weapons there is an anti-tank rocket launcher and a heavy machine gun.
American units carried infantry on tanks wherever armored personnel carriers were not at hand or where there was a hurry. The soldiers sat on the hull and behind the turret, held on to whatever they could, and at the first hit they had to jump off. The field uniform was in an olive shade, the helmet had a characteristic shape and the equipment differed from the British at a glance. A group of riding soldiers gives a vehicle model the scale and movement that a tank alone on a base does not have.
Arrange the figures on the vehicle dry before painting and adjust whatever does not sit properly. Paint them separately and glue them on only once finished; you then fine-tune the joint with the hull with a dust shade. Vary the olive shade slightly between the figures, and the group will not look cast from a single piece. Leave the figures for the hatches for last, so that they do not get in the way while you paint the vehicle.
The figures are supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and the vehicle are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
