A set of three resin figures in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker CMK. It depicts members of the British Women's Auxiliary Air Force (WAAF) from the World War II period, for bringing aircraft models and dioramas to life.
The abbreviation WAAF stands for the Women's Auxiliary Air Force, the British women's auxiliary corps of the Royal Air Force, whose members carried out a range of support duties with the Royal Air Force during World War II. The figures are rendered in the period uniforms of that service.
First wash the resin castings to remove the remains of the mold release agent, carefully cut away the casting blocks and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue. For the best result apply a base coat (primer) and paint the figures in shades matching period uniforms, flight suits and accessories; the details of the faces and the gear come out after light toning and a dry brush.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
