HäT 1:72 WWI British Cavalry is a set of twelve riders of the British cavalry of the First World War in five poses.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of plastic figures in 1:72 scale from HäT. The box holds twelve mounted figures in five poses, with horses. The figures are unpainted and the riders have to be seated in the saddle. The set rounds out the British foot and weapon units of the same scale and makes it possible to build a force from the first months of the war, when the front was not yet dug in.
The British cavalry went into the war in 1914 trained to fight in the saddle and on foot alike, which proved a great advantage. Once the front settled, however, the horse lost its room and spent most of the war in reserve, waiting for a breakthrough that did not come. It came into its own again in 1918, when the front began to move, and in the Middle East, where open country favored cavalry.
Wash the plastic, dry it and spray it with a flexible primer. Play the khaki uniform out a shade lighter and darker so that the formation does not look flat. Seat the rider in the saddle only once the horse is painted. Keep the horses to two shades. Leave the harness and straps brown, as the contrast against khaki holds a figure together.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
