A publication from the Topdrawings drawing series of the Kagero publishing house. The subject is the American medium tank M3 in the Lee I version. The Topdrawings series is built on technical drawings of the real subject, so this is a printed booklet of drawings, not a kit and not a modeling accessory.
Topdrawings is the Kagero name for a drawing imprint whose core is drawings of the machine in question. Check the extent of the booklet, the scales of the individual drawings and the language of the captions in the imprint of the booklet.
The M3 was an American medium tank of the early Second World War, marked by an unusual arrangement of the armament: it carried the main 75 mm gun in a side sponson of the hull, while a smaller gun sat in a rotating turret. This solution was a stopgap and came about because no turret able to carry the larger weapon was available when the tank was designed. The name Lee was used for versions with the American turret in British service, where the vehicle served alongside the Grant variant with a turret of British design. The silhouette of the M3 with its tall hull and the stepped placement of the weapons is among the most recognizable shapes of the whole war, which makes it a rewarding subject for a modeler and for a diorama.
This is a printed publication with drawings, not a kit and not a modeling accessory.
