A dark gray shade, German Dark Gray, from Gunze's Mr.Color range, manufacturer code C513.
Responsibility details are not available.
A paint from Gunze's Mr.Color range, listed under manufacturer code C513. The shade's name refers to dark German military gray, a color modelers reach for mainly for vehicles. Note the shade by its number: dark grays differ from each other subtly, and when touching up work in progress you need exactly the same tone.
Shake the bottle thoroughly before working, since the pigment settles to the bottom. Wash and degrease the model, and thin the paint with the thinner the manufacturer recommends for this range; test the ratio on a scrap piece, not directly on the model. Spray several thin coats and let the surface tack up between them. For brush work, pick up little paint and draw the strokes in one direction.
A dark gray easily looks black on a model and hides all shape. It helps to lighten the centers of large areas with the same shade plus a drop of a light color, while keeping the full tone at edges and in recesses. Panel lines take a darker application to bring them out. Before applying decals, coat the area with a gloss varnish; on matte dark paint, a decal's edge shows from a distance. Let the cured coat fully harden before masking.
The package contains the paint. Thinner, an airbrush, brushes, varnishes and other tools are not included, unless stated otherwise. Work in a well-ventilated room and keep the bottle tightly closed and out of the reach of children.
