Mr. Color transition blue is a lacquer modeling paint in a 10 ml bottle, intended mainly for the airbrush. It is thinned with the thinner of the same brand, not with water.

A saturated medium-dark blue which the manufacturer placed in the range as a tone suited to graduating and mixing. It comes into its own where a finish is to pass from one shade into another with no visible border, typically on the sides of a fuselage between a dark upper surface and a light underside, or when lightening areas gradually.
The Mr. Color range is a solvent-based lacquer, not water-thinnable. It is thinned with the thinner of the same brand, roughly one to two parts to one part of paint. The bottle holds 10 ml. The dried surface is hard and smooth and stands up both to masking tape and to washes applied later.
The paint has to be stirred before use and during the work; the heavy pigment sinks to the bottom and unstirred paint changes tone.
If a transition is not working out, the fault is usually paint that is too thick. Add thinner and make more passes, each lighter than the one before.
