When mixing, the greatest nuisance is that one pipette is always good for one liquid only. Once you have drawn thinner up with it, you cannot draw paint without rinsing it, or you will cross your shades. A package of five pieces solves that problem simply: you set aside one for each liquid.
After lacquer shades rinse the pipette out with thinner; a dried residue inside will put an end to the suction for good. With water-based paints rinsing with water is enough. As soon as a pipette starts to draw worse, replacing it is simpler than cleaning it at length, and that is exactly why a package of several pieces pays off.
A shade mixed by eye cannot be repeated. If you note down the number of squeezes of the individual components, you can mix the same color a month later as well, which will be valued by anyone who has run out of paint in the middle of unfinished work.
A volume of three milliliters corresponds to roughly a third of an ordinary bottle of modeling paint. One pipette will therefore do for one filling of an airbrush cup and you do not have to fill it several times during the work.
