Adler AD-5000 - a mini compressor with a pressure tank

The Adler AD-5000 modeling mini compressor is a source of compressed air for an airbrush. It is fitted with a pressure tank (a receiver), thanks to which it delivers even pressure without pulsing and the motor does not run continuously; the automatic control switches it off when the pressure is reached and starts it again when it drops. It is an oil-free piston compressor, so it needs no topping up with oil. It is neither a paint nor a kit but a tool for the modeling workshop. The compressor is supplied by the brand Adler.

Use

• Connect the airbrush through the hose with a quick coupling supplied and set the working pressure with the regulator.
• The pressure tank evens the pressure out, so the spray is smooth and free of surges, suited to fine work and shading.
• The automatic control (auto-stop and auto-start) switches the motor off when the pressure is reached and starts it again when it drops, so the compressor is quieter and wears less.
• The oil-free piston needs no change of oil; drain the condensate from the tank as you go.
• For airbrush models a pressure of a few bar is usually enough; set the particular value according to the paint and the nozzle.
