Voyager Model 1:35 set with anti-shaped-charge wire mesh skirts (Thoma Schürzen) for the T-34/85 is a photo-etched brass detail set imitating the wire protective screens.
Responsibility details are not available.
An aftermarket detail set, not a kit. The photo-etched brass parts make it possible to build the so-called Thoma Schürzen, that is wire mesh protective skirts, which were fitted to captured and training T-34/85s in German service as protection against shaped-charge ammunition. The set holds the mesh and the matching brackets. Intended for plastic models of the Soviet T-34/85 medium tank in 1:35 scale.
Thoma Schürzen were light wire screens that created standoff protection around the hull and turret against antitank weapons with a shaped-charge warhead. On the T-34/85 they appeared on vehicles operated by the German army; faithful mesh skirts are among the striking and conspicuous features of a model.
Separate the fine mesh with a sharp knife on a hard surface and handle the parts carefully so that they are not deformed. Bend the brackets on a bending tool and glue with super glue. The set demands more patience and is suited to experienced modelers.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
