Kinetic Picture is a wooden kinetic kit from the Tiny Adventures line by the German manufacturer Revell. It is not a vehicle model but a moving decorative object: once it is built from the laser-cut parts, the assembly of wheels and elements is set in motion by a rubber-band motor and started with a starter key, after which the parts move in a loop following a set pattern. It goes together dry, without glue and without painting.
It is a kinetic sculpture, that is a moving decoration for a table or a shelf. The charm lies in the mechanism itself, which sets the individual parts into a smooth, repeating movement.
Carefully break the parts out of the frames and level the edges with the enclosed sandpaper. The key thing is to seat the axles, the wheels and the rubber-band drive exactly as the instructions say, so that the mechanism runs smoothly and without snagging.
The product is supplied as a wooden kit to be assembled. It goes together without glue; paints are neither necessary nor included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
