Sova Model 1:72 SA-226TS Regional Airliner is a plastic kit of the twin-engine turboprop regional airliner Swearingen Metro.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit from the Sova Model brand capturing the twin-engine turboprop regional airliner SA-226TS of the Swearingen Metro family in 1:72 scale. It is a new mold; according to the maker's data the package makes it possible to build the aircraft in two color options. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The Swearingen Metro (the SA-226 series) is a narrow-bodied turboprop aircraft for short and moderately loaded regional routes. It was marked by a slender fuselage and a rugged structure with good takeoff qualities from shorter runways, thanks to which it was deployed on a large scale by regional airlines especially in the 1970s and 1980s. A number of machines were later adapted for cargo and utility roles.
The slender fuselage and the long engine nacelles call for careful fitting and sanding of the joints. Apply a primer before painting, which will reveal any imperfections. Lay the extensive gloss areas of airline color schemes on with an airbrush, and use a gloss coat under the decals so the markings settle cleanly.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
