Gunze Mr.Color Spray S031 Dark Gray (1) (Semi Gloss)

A lacquer aerosol with a volume of 40 ml from the Japanese brand Gunze, the Mr.Color Spray range. Dark Gray (1) is a dark gray shade usable on modern aircraft, ships and other vehicles. The surface dries to a semi-gloss - a realistic in-service look, neither glossy nor completely matte. Note: the range also contains a separate shade, Dark Gray (2), which looks similar but is a different color - check the number before buying.

Use

• A spray for modelers without an airbrush - it is sprayed straight from the can, without thinning.
• Shake it thoroughly for 1 to 2 minutes before spraying so that the pigment is mixed evenly.
• Apply it in thin coats from a distance of roughly 25 cm; several light coats hold better than one thick one.
• Spray in warm, dry conditions - damp air can create a white haze.
• Lacquer attacks bare plastic: spray delicate parts carefully, ideally over a primer.

Matte and gloss Mr.Color clear coats are available as well, and so is the related shade Dark Gray (2) for distinguishing surfaces.

Mr.Color Spray is a solvent-based lacquer aerosol - flammable and aggressive to bare plastic. Use it in a well-ventilated area with a respirator, away from open flame.
