Fine grass foliage in the yellow shade of dried grass, in a 945 cm3 shaker.
Responsibility details are not available.
The yellow shade belongs to growth that has run out of water. On south-facing slopes, along the tracks, on embankments and on the unmown edges of fields the grass dries out earlier than elsewhere and turns straw-colored. Anyone building a scene from late summer or the end of the growing season cannot do without this tone.
The small particles cover an area evenly and leave no visible lumps, so the material suits large surfaces as well as subtle transitions between colors. A green lawn can be gradually overlaid with yellow toward the edge, giving a strip that looks scorched by the sun rather than like a change of material.
The 945 cm3 refill comes in a container from which the material is shaken through a sieve. For layering shades this is the quickest route, because the hand doses it in small amounts and the transition can be stopped at any moment. Where to use it:
Dry grass on its own is only one of the four tones that the late season offers. Besides yellow, an area also calls for the green left in sheltered spots, the rusty color of plants past flowering, and gray-brown where the growth has flattened to the ground. As soon as these shades are mixed in irregular islands, the area stops being uniform and starts to match what a real meadow looks like at the end of summer.
