The sand-colored dry pigment Sinai Sand Powder Pigment from Lifecolor is applied dry with a brush in thin layers, so you can build the deposit up exactly as you need it.
Responsibility details are not available.
A light sand shade from the Lifecolor dry pigment range. It comes in the container as a loose powder that is applied directly, without mixing and without any preparation. In color it matches light desert and semi-desert soils, where vehicles carry a fine light dusting rather than a dense layer of mud.
How to work with it
The basis is a flat brush with fairly stiff bristles. Pick up a small amount of powder, tap the excess off against the rim of the container and rub the pigment into the surface with short, rather blunt strokes. The key to a good result is patience: the first layer should barely be visible and only the second and third should bring it up where it is needed. Anyone who loads it all on at once gets an even veil that looks like a powdered model, not a dusty vehicle.
What the pigment holds on
A matte surface holds pigment considerably better than a glossy one, because there is something for it to catch on. On a smooth glossy surface the powder simply slides and disappears at the first touch. Never blow the excess off with your mouth; the powder scatters all over the workshop and over the model. Remove it with a soft clean brush. The individual shades of the dry range can be mixed with one another before application or directly on the model, so you can shift the sand tone into a warmer or a grayer register.
A dry pigment is a loose powder. Do not work with it in a draft, do not inhale it, do not blow the excess off with your mouth and wash your hands after work. Keep out of the reach of children.
