This set from the Polish maker Mantis Miniatures brings farmyard poultry, hens and a rooster, cast in resin in the large 1:16 scale. It is a scenic accessory for figure compositions and rural dioramas, not a kit. The animals are generally cast one piece at a time with a minimum of casting seams.
Hens and a rooster are among the typical elements of a farmyard and of agricultural scenes. In the large 1:16 scale the detail of the plumage and of the poses comes out, which leaves room for striking color work.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and clean them up. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and protect your airways while sanding. Acrylic paints with oils added for smooth transitions suit the varied plumage.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
