A set of resin figures of birds in 1:35 scale from the Polish maker Mantis Miniatures. It is not a model of hardware but a scenic accessory for a diorama, a vignette or a small scene of its own. The castings are in gray resin, small and fine.
Birds are a rewarding atmospheric detail that gives a scene scale and life, whether perched on the ground, on a fence, on a roof or suggesting movement. Check the particular species and poses against the illustration on the box.
Cut the small parts carefully off the casting blocks and clean them up, and wash them free of mold release agent before gluing. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The plumage will come out with acrylics, glazes and gentle dry-brushing. With parts this small, a sharp knife and good lighting pay off.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
