A resin detail set in 1:35 scale from the Polish maker Mantis Miniatures. It is a model of the Soviet SPG-9 recoilless gun in the version made to be mounted on vehicles, not a vehicle kit in its own right. It serves as an accessory to models of hardware and to dioramas. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
The SPG-9 is a Soviet 73 mm recoilless gun brought into service in the 1960s. Originally a tripod-mounted infantry weapon, it is often improvised onto light vehicles (pickups, for instance) in many present-day conflicts. This For Vehicles version captures exactly that use and suits modern and asymmetric scenes.
Wash the castings free of mold release agent, carefully cut off the casting blocks and clean up the small parts. Glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand them with your airways protected. Once a primer is on, paint the metal parts in a dark shade and bring out wear and abrasion with dry-brushing and pigments.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
