Aoshima 1:700 IJN destroyer Fuyutsuki is an injection-molded plastic kit of a Japanese Akizuki-class anti-aircraft destroyer from the Waterline line.
Responsibility details are not available.
This injection-molded plastic kit captures the Japanese destroyer Fuyutsuki in 1:700 scale, from Aoshima's Waterline modeling line. The package holds the hull and superstructure parts along with finely detailed armament, including the twin high-angle guns of ten centimeters caliber and the ship's boats.
Fuyutsuki was an Akizuki-class destroyer, a class built as anti-aircraft escorts with powerful high-angle gun armament. Together with her sister ship Suzutsuki she screened the battleship Yamato during Operation Ten-Go in April 1945, and she came through the end of the war.
Depending on the version, the hull is built either as a waterline model without the lower part or with the full hull on a stand. Finish the deck and the superstructure first and fit the small weapons and the masts only at the end. The appearance improves considerably if photo-etched railings and rigging are added, which are not included in the package. Paint the hull dark gray and bring out the details with a wash and dry-brushing.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
