The Flyhawk super-detail photo-etched set for the battleship Kongo in her 1944 state in 1:350 scale brings brass photo-etched parts and turned barrels.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a ship kit but an extensive photo-etched detail set. The set is meant for fitting out a model of the Japanese fast battleship Kongo in her 1944 state and holds several frets of brass photo-etched parts and turned metal gun barrels. It makes it possible to replace simplified plastic features with faithful photo-etched railings, ladders, platforms, radars and other details in 1:350 scale.
Kongo was the lead ship of the class of the same name of the Imperial Japanese Navy. Originally built as a battlecruiser, she went through refits into a fast battleship. In her 1944 state she carried a strengthened anti-aircraft fit and radars, and she took part in operations in the closing phase of the war in the Pacific.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp scalpel, form them with a bending tool and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Fit the turned barrels in place of the plastic ones once the turrets have dried. Follow the enclosed drawing and work in sub-assemblies. Degrease everything before painting and go over it with primer; an airbrush gives the best result.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
