The Flyhawk detail set with the German 3.7 cm naval anti-aircraft gun of the M42 pattern in 1:700 scale replaces plastic weapons with faithful parts.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a ship kit but a detail accessory for the armament. The set holds fine brass photo-etched parts and turned barrels for building faithful models of the German 3.7 cm naval anti-aircraft gun (about one and a half inches) of the M42 pattern, which was used on the surface ships of the Kriegsmarine. It replaces simplified plastic weapons and raises the realism of a model in 1:700 scale.
The 3.7 cm gun was part of the standard light anti-aircraft armament of the German war fleet in the Second World War. The M42 pattern brought a modernized design and was fitted in single and multiple mounts on battleships, cruisers and smaller vessels.
Separate the small photo-etched parts with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface and seat the turned barrels in the assembled mounts. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue in small drops. Given the size of the parts, we recommend tweezers and a magnifier. Degrease them before painting, go over them with primer and paint them in a naval gray.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
