The designation T127 belongs to a Formula 1 single-seater of the 2010 season. The set captures the early specification, that is the appearance of the car from the beginning of the season. Aerodynamic parts on single-seaters changed almost from race to race, so it is precisely the specification that decides how the front wing, the radiator covers and the rear end of the car look.
A multimedia set means that the parts are not made of a single material. The body, the small additions and any flat elements may each be made of a different substance, and each behaves differently when separated, sanded and glued. What the package contains exactly and how the parts are divided up is given in the manufacturer's instructions; go through them in full before you open the first bag.
Work through one subassembly at a time and try everything dry, because with multi-material sets an inaccuracy cannot be made up elsewhere. Cement for polystyrene may have no effect at all on some of the parts, so keep cyanoacrylate glue at hand and apply it drop by drop. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down flat, so that you do not touch the shape. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold on the smooth surface; a fine base coat of primer will moreover show the places that still need sanding.
For more experienced builders who already have an ordinary plastic kit behind them. The paints, the glue and the tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
