HEKI Chestnut 18 cm, 1 pc is a mature model tree with a dense vaulted crown.
Responsibility details are not available.
A finished model tree from the German maker HEKI, eighteen centimeters tall. The horse chestnut, commonly called a chestnut, has a dense, evenly vaulted crown set fairly low, so on a layout it looks massive and takes up more room than a poplar of the same height. At the same time that is exactly why it serves well where a tree is meant to cast shade or close off a view.
The tree is pushed into a pre-drilled hole or glued by the foot of the trunk. With an eighteen-centimeter piece carrying a dense crown, make the hole deeper and fix the trunk with a drop of glue, otherwise the tree will lean over time under the weight of the crown. Spread the flattened branches carefully with your fingers after unpacking and leave the outline of the crown slightly irregular. Add grass and low growth under the tree.
For layout and diorama builders who need a massive tree as a landmark, and for modelers fine-tuning the surroundings of buildings and village greens. A mature chestnut can also serve as the scale of a scene, because the viewer judges the size of everything else by it. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
