Birch Trees 18 cm (2 pcs)

HEKI Birches 18 cm, 2 pcs

Two finished model trees from the German maker HEKI, eighteen centimeters tall. A birch cannot be missed in the landscape thanks to its pale trunk and drooping branch tips. At eighteen centimeters these are mature trees that form a distinct pale point in a scene, which is why they are used deliberately: a pair of birches at the forest edge draws the eye more reliably than a whole row of dark trees.

Use

• a pair of mature birches on a grassy strip between fields or by a lane
• a pale accent in a group of darker trees
• forest edges and areas growing over
• greenery along railroads and on the banks of cuttings
• winter scenes where the tree should look good even without foliage
• greenery by abandoned buildings and overgrown yards

How to work with the trees

The trees are pushed into a pre-drilled hole or glued by the foot of the trunk. With taller pieces make the hole deeper and fix the trunk with a drop of glue. Do not set the pair symmetrically, and tilt one tree slightly. Spread the flattened branches carefully with your fingers after unpacking and let the tips point downward, as that is exactly what is characteristic of a birch. Add low growth and a few small bushes under the trees.

Who the set is for

For layout and diorama builders who need pale, distinctive trees, and for modelers fine-tuning forest edges. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
