A 50 g package of dried stems which, according to the manufacturer, are tied into bundles, so that they can be worked with straight away and without lengthy preparation. The manufacturer describes the material as reeds and lists it as independent of scale. It is not a finished product or a kit: it is a raw material from which you put tufts of vegetation together to suit the place they belong in.
Take a small part of the bundle, line the bottom ends up and tie or glue them, and only then set the tuft into a drilled hole and run a drop of PVA glue into it. Shorten the upper part unevenly with scissors, because a trimmed line looks artificial. For the color finish the manufacturer recommends acrylic paints: spraying from the side and from above works best, so that the bottom stays darker. In the smaller layout sizes shorten the stems considerably, otherwise the vegetation will outgrow the landscape around it.
It suits layout modelers and diorama builders who make their vegetation themselves and want a stock of raw material for several scenes. Fifty grams is enough for a great many tufts, so the material also serves for trying techniques out.
The material is supplied unpainted. Paints, glue and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
