Photo-etched grilles for the German Tiger tank of the Second World War in 1:35 scale. They replace the solid plastic parts on the engine deck.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Tiger is among the most frequently built tanks of all, and its engine deck is the most exposed surface of the model when seen from above. The openings for drawing air in and leading it away were covered by grilles, which a kit usually replaces with a solid part with a suggested texture. Such a part cannot be seen through and in 1:35 scale it is disproportionately thick. A photo-etched grille is thin and open in comparison, so shadow arises under it and the deck gains a depth a solid part will never have.
Photo-etched grilles for the Tiger in 1:35 scale. Check which version and which release of the kit they are cut to fit against the manufacturer's information on the packaging, because the dimensions of the decks differ between releases. There you will also find the layout of the fret and the number of parts.
Remove the suggested texture from the kit part and level the surface flat. Separate the grilles with a sharp blade on a hard surface and sand the remainder of the tab down with a fine file. They are bonded with super glue in drops at the edges. Degrease the surface before painting and lay down a primer. Blacken the space under the grille, and at the final highlighting do not spare the dark tone on it, because dust and oil cling exactly in its mesh.
The model, paints, glue and tools are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
