A LööK series set in 1:48 scale aimed at the instrument panel of the F-14B Tomcat in its late version, tuned for GWH kits.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was a two-seat carrier fighter of the US Navy, recognizable at first glance by its variable-sweep wing. The crew was a pilot and a weapons systems officer, so the cockpit has two separate stations with different equipment. The B version is a later mark of the family, and the word late in the name sets apart the aircraft with the newer equipment fit from the earlier ones.
This LööK series set in 1:48 scale is aimed at the instrument panel of the cockpit. It replaces the panel from the kit, where the individual instruments are only suggested and would otherwise have to be painted out laboriously with a brush. The set is tuned for GWH kits, which do cover the F-14B in 1:48 scale. The exact list of parts is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
Before applying them, check the instructions to see whether the colored elements are self-adhesive, and choose your method accordingly. Seat the original panel from the kit dry first, so that you know how much room the new panel needs. Clear the surface beneath it of dust and grease, otherwise the bond will not hold. Finish the cockpit before you close the fuselage and fit the canopy. Leave the instrument panel without a matte coat, because the gloss of the instrument glasses is exactly what should be visible on the finished model.
For modelers who want the Tomcat cockpit finished quickly and without painting out tiny instruments. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
