An injection-molded plastic model of the French Citroën 2CV AZU-B 250 Fourgonette utility van in 1:24 scale from Heller. It is the van, or box-body, version of the legendary 2CV with its characteristic tall corrugated cargo body and double rear doors. The model faithfully captures the typical shape of the small working van that was part of French and European roads for decades.
The Citroën 2CV Fourgonette was the utility variant of the Citroën 2CV, derived from its simple and durable chassis. In place of a passenger body it received a tall box body with a roomy cargo space reached through double rear doors. The AZU version with an air-cooled two-cylinder engine became a favorite working vehicle of tradesmen, shops and post offices. The 2CV Fourgonette family was built in many forms over several decades and became an icon of French light commercial motoring.
Clean the body of the van carefully first and rid it of parting seams, then lay down a primer and airbrush the paint in thin coats, because the large smooth areas of the box body will appreciate an even gloss coat. Paint and assemble the interior and the chassis before the body is closed. Paint the wheels and tires separately; the double rear doors can be picked out by gently shading the gaps. Apply the small decals to dry gloss varnish and seal them with a coat if need be.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
