This injection-molded plastic kit in 1:24 scale from the Japanese brand Hasegawa captures the Toyota Supra of the A70 generation in the 2.5GT Twin Turbo R version of 1990 in the black form. The assembled model measures about 193 mm and offers a detailed rendering of the body as well as the interior.
The Supra A70 was among Toyota's flagship sports coupes at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s. The top 2.5GT Twin Turbo R version drove the rear wheels through a turbocharged inline six and combined luxurious equipment with the performance of a large grand tourer.
Black paint calls for a perfectly smooth base, so sand the body carefully, spray it with primer and apply the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. Final polishing and a gloss clear coat will give the surface the depth typical of factory black.
